Organizing for School

So..how do you organize seven kids for school?  Well, let's be honest..really only 6 kids.  After moving only a month ago, we are in the midst of school preparations, potty training, a new job, hatching chickens, planning a wedding, oh and did I mention getting a house into order?  The name of the game seems to be sanity, patience and love.  How do you organize a big family to keep all of the big three flowing?  Well, here are just a few to get started-
1.  Have everything contained and separated so as to avoid confusion and fights.  We've all been there-let's be honest:  "He took my scissors, she stole my glue stick, I can't find my ____".  Well, you get the idea.  By having a bin for everyone with their needed school/project supplies at home, we make everyone accountable to whats in their own bin.

2.  Hooks:  Kids don't like hangers.  Honestly, I don't like hanging things up either.  Things move along much quicker if kids can use hooks.  Without them, backpacks wind up in a pile on the floor.  When you have 7 kids, that's a big pile.  It creates chaos and morning meltdowns.  Backpacks are packed and hung the night before.
